Hello, I'm Ruth and I'm an artist living in London.
In 2011 I graduated in Digital Interaction Design from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design. My degree has lead me on to creating artwork with a unique twist to it. Every piece of art I do, whether it be a card or an illustration, is unique. I have always loved personalising my own stuff, and I want to replicate it in my work. I love creating patterns and using colour in my work. One of my interest is maps. I love that maps are unique pieces of art, yet an every day tool for us. New Inspiration
When I was in New York in November I came across Rifle Paper Company at the Museum of Modern Art. I loved the colour and typography of the cards and wondered what I could do with that inspiration.
When I experimented I tried with watercolour, but it felt quite weak, I wanted stronger colours so changed to gouache which gave a much stronger, brighter feel to the cards.
Watercolour and Gouache I decided to go with gouache and got painting…

enormouschampion’s work.
Loving having the time to trawl through the internet again!
Came across enormouschampion from Brooklyn, NY (this is not specifically why I like them!), combing craft, design and illustration into lovely little cards, gifts and stationary.
Really like their work. I could see myself doing something like this in the future, using my imagination and just doing it!
